Brian Ford is an original 1993 founder of F&J Professional Computer Services. Qualifications and training as an Electrical Engineer (communications) provided a sound foundation for the evolution of that time which was the entry of the Personal Computer into business. The skills and aptitude to support this technology for local business, along with the team F&J attracted, fashioned a reputation for expertise and reliable service.
F&J Professional Computer Services focused on IT service and maintained that brand for some 23 years. It was felt the time had come to reposition the company’s identity with a more aligned role with how technology plays a part in today’s progressive businesses.
Evolve Technology will continue the highly-respected level of quality and innovative technology solutions, service and support with many of the team that joined and grew F&J over a decade ago.
Today Brian’s role is focused with this team and our clients to bring together the support, solutions and infrastructure that meet the needs of today’s rapid changing technology environment.
From 1998 to 2008, Jay managed the IT infrastructure for the South East Asia division of international surf brand Billabong. After being in this role for over 10 years, he saw the need for outsourced I.T Services and Skills that were not being supplied with value to SME businesses. Thus, Jay then joined the Evolve Team to continue the company’s growth forward as the Premier IT Company in South East Queensland.
Jay enjoys the variety and challenges of working with a wide range of successful business in different horizontal markets, to deliver I.T solutions that support their success. This is proven by the extremely successful clients that Evolve works with.
On his time away from Evolve, he enjoys travelling with his wife and two daughters to beach-side locations. He is an avid surfer involved in North End Board-riders, one of Australia’s best surfboard riding clubs.
Jay has a Bachelor of Information Technology from Griffith University. He also holds Lotus Notes Certification, Act Certification, Project Management training from Kepner Tregoe and Microsoft Certifications.
Grant started in the industry in 2007 selling Phone Systems and was a fully accredited Telstra Reseller in the fixed line and Ethernet space.
He is experienced in all things relating to Technology in a business – From Managed Services and support, to Cloud implementation, Hosted Telephony, Print Contracts, Wide Area Networks, LAN and Wireless Networking, basically the entire gamut of Technology and the complex marketplace surrounding these products; ideally creating One Network for Evolves customers and one point of call for all things relating to the products that Evolve supply.
Grant is always fully involved in all projects, ensuring project management and the application of processes, methods, knowledge, skills and experience to achieve the project objectives are a part of the entire solution. This ensures customers’ expectations are not just met, but always exceeded.
When not out on the road or in the office, Grant enjoys spending time with his growing family, with the immediate arrival of their first child Eliyah, both mum and Dad love watching her grow into a beautiful young lady on a daily basis.
Daniel has worked with Evolve Technologies since 1999. During that time, he has transitioned from a Computer Technician to our highly experienced and valued Technical Services Manager. He has seen the company evolve from a small local team of 5 engineers to where it is today. Daniel’s main role involves technical consultation to our larger and longer serving clients as well as liaising with the other company engineers on technical queries and service SLA’s. With high exposure to every form of server and network management he has become an integral part of the technical pre-and post-sales decision making.
Just some of Daniels training includes – Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, MTCNA – MikroTik Certified Network Associate, MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional, Sophos Certified Engineer, Sophos Certified Sales Consultant, Vmware Technical Sales Professional , VSP 5.5.
Antony has been with the company since 2013 and is one of our Senior Network Engineer and is passionate about IT.
Antony comes from an IT and Telecommunications background and has been in the industry for a little over 10 years. He joined our team when he moved from Samoa to Australia in 2013. Antony’s background is in Server management and Network management/design and building.
Ben joined Evolve in 2015 as a Senior Engineer and has quickly worked his way up to become our businesses Operations Manager.
His role encompasses everything operational that includes but is certainly not limited to the planning and execution of routine functions and activities of Evolve, contributing to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices and has a proven track record of setting and meeting ambitious goals in the IT industry.
A valued member of our team who embraces emerging technologies and brings long term experience from Managing large Enterprise I.T infrastructures in countries including Canada, USA and Mexico.
Kyle joined the team in August 2017.
He thrives on setting up business systems for his clients in the most efficient way possible.
When Kyle is not at work he is always tinkering with technology in relation to on-line gaming.
Kyle’s qualifications include a certificate 2 in Information Technologies.
Steve joined Evolve Technologies in 2012 when he made the move to Australia from Ireland. He brings with him a wide range of skills from VoIP and Linux experience to Windows Server and Mac expertise. With an IT career beginning in 2001 he is one of our Senior Network Engineers and is passionate about maintaining our customers’ IT infrastructures.
Robert has been with the company since 2000 and is our Senior Service Engineer. He comes from an Electronics background and has been in the industry for over 40 years and has also worked in the UK. Robert is the field engineer for many of the national organisations we’re affiliated with eg. AWA, ASI, Allstar, Promim, RSS, ABM and carries out all their onsite warranty and maintenance work.
Daniel is Evolves customer service oriented Help Desk Specialist. Providing technical support to all Evolves clients and users in an efficient and accurate manner. Midzee ( as the tech’s call him) is considered as the firm’s front line in trouble shooting problems.
Brett has over 10 years of experience in the IT industry. Brett has worked in a number of roles with large multinationals and small customer centric companies and understand the importance of process and strategy as well as the personal and customer service. He possess specialised knowledge in SOE development, LAN/WAN networking, Domain administration and technical support. When not working Brett enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring nature and taking time to relax on one of the many Gold Coast Beaches.
Aaron has been with the company since he graduated school in 2013. Since then he has had the opportunity to grow alongside the company and actively apply what he has learnt in his degree of Information Technology, to his role as Network Administrator. With an avid interest in all things IT as well as a passionate desire to learn, Aaron is already exceeding customers’ expectations in quality of work, and customer service.
Aaron has MCP Certifications and has passed exams such as – Managing Office 365 Identities and Requirements. He has completed a Bachelor of Information Technology from Southern Cross University.
Lauchlan started with Evolve technologies in 2016 where his primary roll was as Service Co-ordinator. From there he has transitioned into the role of Accounts & Administration Manager, ensuring all requirements of the business are met and our clients accounting queries are answered in a timely manner.
Lauchlan is a results-driven professional with extensive experience in the administration and support of information systems and is currently completing his Bachelor of Business Degree with a focus on Information Technology subjects to grow his knowledge base & skills to ensure Evolves’ clients are in good hands.
When Lauchlan is not in work mode, he is enjoying the outdoors and venturing around the Gold Coast and surrounds enjoying all our beautiful town has to offer.
Scott joined the Evolve team in March 2018 after migrating from the UK.
He brings with him over 20 years experience within the telecommunications and IT sectors, which include working for large companies like British Telecommunications and The Environment Agency. He has worked both in the field and within an office environment proving his versatility.
Scott’s certifications include Microsoft certified professional, VMware certified associate, VCE converged infrastructure associate, Huntsman SIEM administrator.
In his free time, Scott likes to enjoy all things outdoors with his wife, and making the most of the sunshine which is a rare commodity where he comes from!
Seain enjoys the challenges that come with managing enterprise scale organisations. His background from working for Telstra as a Business Solution Manager, has solidified his customer service focus. Seian has a Graduate Diploma of Information Technology from the
University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba.
Outside of work he is always busy looking after his four beautiful children.
With more than four years’ experience providing custom IT solutions for SMBs in the multicultural capital of Europe : Brussels , Sebastien’s skillset is very diverse and includes: Network infrastructure installation and troubleshooting, Server setup, storage solutions, cloud infrastructure administration, email migration, backup & security software as well as multilevel IT support. Sebastien is passionate about innovative technologies and enjoys finding the right tool for the job depending on the client’s specific IT needs. Now having moved back to Australia, Sebastien spends most of his free time enjoying the surrounding nature of the gold coast by mountain biking and hiking.

Josh has had over 8 years of experience in the IT industry for the Australian Defence Force.
Having performed in many roles and having worked along side many International partners, he brings with him a wide range of skillsets including but not limited to: Customer Service, SOE deployment, Server Administration / Repairs, WAN/LAN Network engineering and IT Infrastructure planning and deployment.
Josh prides himself in his values of Teamwork, Loyalty, Mateship and helping others.
When Josh is not working he is spending his time with his wife and four kids playing sports and exploring the beautiful surroundings of the Gold Coast.
Kristen joins our team with over 20 years’ experience in customer service and training and development working with a number of large corporations and IT companies and understands the importance of providing exceptional customer service and solutions with every contact.
Working at the forefront of the business as Customer & Service Co-Ordinator, her role will see your service and support requests and IT related enquiries being lodged and managed in an efficient and timely manner.
When not working, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family, boating, skating and cooking.
