Brian Ford is an original 1993 founder of F&J Professional Computer Services. Qualifications and training as an Electrical Engineer (communications) provided a sound foundation for the evolution of that time which was the entry of the Personal Computer into business. The skills and aptitude to support this technology for local business, along with the team F&J attracted, fashioned a reputation for expertise and reliable service.
F&J Professional Computer Services focused on IT service and maintained that brand for some 23 years. It was felt the time had come to reposition the company’s identity with a more aligned role with how technology plays a part in today’s progressive businesses.
Evolve Technology will continue the highly-respected level of quality and innovative technology solutions, service and support with many of the team that joined and grew F&J over a decade ago.
Today Brian’s role is focused with this team and our clients to bring together the support, solutions and infrastructure that meet the needs of today’s rapid changing technology environment.
From 1998 to 2008, Jay managed the IT infrastructure for the South East Asia division of international surf brand Billabong. After being in this role for over 10 years, he saw the need for outsourced I.T Services and Skills that were not being supplied with value to SME businesses. Thus, Jay then joined the Evolve Team to continue the company’s growth forward as the Premier IT Company in South East Queensland.
Jay enjoys the variety and challenges of working with a wide range of successful business in different horizontal markets, to deliver I.T solutions that support their success. This is proven by the extremely successful clients that Evolve works with.
On his time away from Evolve, he enjoys travelling with his wife and two daughters to beach-side locations. He is an avid surfer involved in North End Board-riders, one of Australia’s best surfboard riding clubs.
Jay has a Bachelor of Information Technology from Griffith University. He also holds Lotus Notes Certification, Act Certification, Project Management training from Kepner Tregoe and Microsoft Certifications.
Shelley started with the company in 1998 when it was a fledgling business of only 4 engineers. Her Initial duties focussed on reception and administration. Her role soon grew to business development as Shelley’s passion for actively networking within the Gold Coast business community became apparent. Building relationships with customers comes naturally to Shelley and she is a pivotal point in many of the business activities to ensure the smooth running of the business in general. Shelley adds the personal touch to our organisation.
Daniel has worked with Evolve Technologies since 1999. During that time, he has transitioned from a Computer Technician to our highly experienced and valued Technical Services Manager. He has seen the company evolve from a small local team of 5 engineers to where it is today. Daniel’s main role involves technical consultation to our larger and longer serving clients as well as liaising with the other company engineers on technical queries and service SLA’s. With high exposure to every form of server and network management he has become an integral part of the technical pre-and post-sales decision making.
Lauchlan is the newest member of our team at Evolve. His role in the company is as our Service Coordinator and the management of service tickets. Lauchlan is always ready to help and ensure your tickets and inquiries are processed in a timely manner. He also looks after the receiving, shipping and logistics of all freight. Lauchlan’s friendliness and compassion makes him a great asset and vital member of our team.
Antony has been with the company since 2013 and is one of our Senior Network Engineer and is passionate about IT.
Antony comes from an IT and Telecommunications background and has been in the industry for a little over 10 years. He joined our team when he moved from Samoa to Australia in 2013. Antony’s background is in Server management and Network management/design and building.
Ben started with Evolve in 2015 and has quickly worked his way through from a Senior Engineer to the Operations Manager for our Toowoomba branch. He is a valued member of our team and he embraced emerging technologies exceedingly well. He brings long term experience’s from managing large enterprise I.T infrastructures in countries such as Canada, USA and Mexico.
James has been with the company since 2015 and is one of our Senior Network Engineers.
James has been in the industry for over 13 years and joined our team when he moved from Brisbane. James’ holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from Griffith University and much of his working career has been spent in Server and Network management/design and engineering. James has a passion for many areas of IT and enjoys exploring leading edge technologies.
Steve joined Evolve Technologies in 2012 when he made the move to Australia from Ireland. He brings with him a wide range of skills from VoIP and Linux experience to Windows Server and Mac expertise. With an IT career beginning in 2001 he is one of our Senior Network Engineers and is passionate about maintaining our customers’ IT infrastructures.
Robert has been with the company since 2000 and is our Senior Service Engineer. He comes from an Electronics background and has been in the industry for over 40 years and has also worked in the UK. Robert is the field engineer for many of the national organisations we’re affiliated with eg. AWA, ASI, Allstar, Promim, RSS, ABM and carries out all their onsite warranty and maintenance work.
Daniel is Evolves customer service oriented Help Desk Specialist. Providing technical support to all Evolves clients and users in an efficient and accurate manner. Midzee ( as the tech’s call him) is considered as the firm’s front line in trouble shooting problems.
Adrian has the passion for delivering results and his ability to quickly overcome complex IT challenges enforces his reputation as a high-end achiever and a versatile and innovative Technology Leader and Team player. With clear success in creating robust IT architecture and infrastructure, he is able to offer both innovation and determination with the flexibility to meet challenges faced across a broad range of markets for Evolves clients. Adrian is based in Brisbane and is focused on Evolves key clients and growth in the Brisbane market.
Adrian was the IT Operations Manager for Billabong and prior to that the IT Operations manager for Jupiter’s Casino. He brings a wealth of knowledge in the enterprise space to the evolve team. He is Certified Citrix Administrator (CCA) and has a cERT IV in Business.
Away from work he enjoys trying to keep up with his two sons or travelling back to PNG to visit family.
Chis is a certified Support Technician offering over 10 years of experience in IT Systems especially – Systems Support / Administration, Desktop, Server, Network Installation, Configuration and support. Chis has exceptional skills in troubleshooting, fault finding, hardware configuration, commissioning & maintenance as well as Networking and Software support and installations.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Information Technology in Computer Science from
Central Queensland University, Australia
Aaron has been with the company since he graduated school in 2013. Since then he has had the opportunity to grow alongside the company and actively apply what he has learnt in his degree of Information Technology, to his role as Network Administrator. With an avid interest in all things IT as well as a passionate desire to learn, Aaron is already exceeding customers’ expectations in quality of work, and customer service.
Aaron has MCP Certifications and has passed exams such as – Managing Office 365 Identities and Requirements. He is also close to completion of his Bachelor of Information Technology from Griffith University
Matthew Wild is our in-house Act! CRM expert and has been working as an Act! Certified Consultant for Act! Today since early 2010, and has developed a solid affinity with the Act! software. Matthew is passionate about assisting businesses increase their productivity by formulating a tailored approach to managing their business contacts. Owen moved from South Australia and joined the Evolve team in September 2014. He soon realised he’d made a wise choice and that the lifestyle and clients that Evolve has in South East QLD was well worth the relocation.
Owen is a results-driven IT professional with extensive experience in the engineering, administration and support of information systems using Microsoft Technologies. He has in-depth expertise in the implementation, analysis, optimisation, troubleshooting and documentation of LAN/WAN network systems and uses these skills to ensure Evolves’ clients are in good hands.
His qualifications include Datto Sales & Support Technician, Xiruss Wireless Solutions Sales & Support Technician, MCSA Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 (Partial) ,MCTS Windows Server 2008 – Active Directory Configuration ,2011 – MCTS Windows Server 2008 – Network Infrastructure Configuration, Diploma of Information Technology – Business Analysis.
When Owen is not in work mode, he is a husband and doting father of one cute little girl and enjoys martial arts.
Michael takes great pride in designing, implementing and managing the best fit Network and Infrastructure solutions for both internal and external customers. He has a very strong mix of technical and personal / management skills and experience.
Throughout his career in IT spanning over 20 years, Michael has played both managerial and implementation roles for numerous networks ranging from 3 to 3000 users across singular / multiple sites, cross country and even International organisations. Michael has the following certifications: Watchguard Fireware Essentials, Citrix XenApp Installation and Administration, Citrix XenDesktop Installation and Administration, ITIL Foundations, MCSE.
Seain enjoys the challenges that come with managing enterprise scale organisations. His background from working for Telstra as a Business Solution Manager, has solidified his customer service focus. Seian has a Graduate Diploma of Information Technology from the
University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba.
Outside of work he is always busy looking after his four beautiful children.
